Child Protection and Rights (CPR)

The CPR section at the MRICRH supports children and women, most of them from hill tribes, who are facing problematic life situations like:

  • Lack of citizenship

  • Domestic violence and abuse

  • Exclusion from their communities
  • Homelessness
  • Forced marriage
  • Unwanted pregnancy or pregnancy outside marriage

The CPR section at the MRICRH supports distinguishes between the following categories of abuse:

  • Physical
  • Sexual
  • Emotional
  • Neglect

The CPR section takes on the task of prevention, protection and intervention behalf of children living in abusive situations through rescuing, counseling and case follow- up. These children are very vulnerable and they are at high risk of becoming victims of trafficking.

The CPR section in Mae Salong has close connections with the CPR section at the DEPDC in Mae Sai. This enables us to reach out to more children in need.

We offer a range of activities as a part of our support services.
