Co-operate with us

At the Mekong Regional Indigenous Child Rights Home (MRICRH), we believe that the various NGOs and GOs working on child advocacy issues in the Upper Mekong Region, including Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and China, must assume the responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of vulnerable children, be it trafficking victims or children in difficult circumstances.

We would like to see strengthened co- operation in addressing the problems that are disrupting communities in these four countries. Despite the urgent need, there are currently not many opportunities for NGOs to effectively network and share experiences, especially from country to country.

The MRICRH is a local organization that was founded to support and provide safe shelter for children in difficult circumstances and trafficked children. There lies tremendous potential in the MRICRH and the other regional organizations engaged in similar work.

Together we can work to find effective solutions to the problems confronting todayís children in the region.

A formal network can serve to consolidate information culled by various organizations, facilitate information- sharing among groups, and cultivate greater co- operation among international organizations.
