Where Do We Work?

The MRICRH is located in Northern Thailandís Chiang Rai province, approximately halfway between Mae Sa Long and Mae Chan. MRICRH is located close to local tribal communities. This enables the MRICRH to reach children in need and act appropriately, potentially helping to protect a greater amount of children from abuse and exploitative situations, including trafficking for the purpose of exploitation of prostitution.

The MRICRH is also located close to strategic borders in the Upper Mekong Region. It is located about thirty-five kilometers from Myanmar, about fifty-five kilometers away from Lao PDR and about two hundred and seventy kilometers away from the Chinese border (Yunnan Province). The MRICRH is also about forty-five kilometers away from the Chiang Rai airport. Close proximity to these key areas enables more effective case- rescue, follow- up and repatriation of trafficking victims.

Families in local communities support the work we do.
