Child Help Line

In order to adequately meet the needs of the children, a 24-hour hotline is maintained and the number is publicised through outreach to local indigenous communities; it is shared with key community leaders such as doctors and nurses in local hospitals and village leaders and teachers. The hotline is also publicised by means of a child rights camps where children from local Hill Tribes learn about the risks involved with trafficking as well as other problems occurring in the areas where they live. They are encouraged to pass on the hotline number as well as the information they have learned at the camp with their home communities. Child Helpline is a 24-hour free phone emergency and outreach service for children that are in distress or living in difficult circumstances, sexually exploited or in need of care and protection and permits MRICRH to reach farther into local communities and work on behalf of child protection and rights.
